Nordic Patent Institute will be represented at the Thirteenth Session of the PCT Working Group, Geneva, Switzerland, from 25 to 29 May 2020. The meeting will take place at the Headquarters of WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland.
The purpose of the PCT Working Group is to do preparatory work for matters which require submission to the PCT Assembly. Most commonly, this involves proposals for amendment of the Regulations under the PCT, but may include a wide variety of matters of interest to the PCT Assembly and for improvement of the PCT system. This year it is foreseen to convene a meeting of the Committee for Technical Cooperation in conjunction with the PCT WG meeting to assess an application for appointment of an office seeking appointment as International PCT Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority..
As an international PCT authority, Nordic Patent Institute is a full member of the Working Group and the CTC and will be represented by Grétar Ingi Grétarsson, Vice-Director.
