When Nordic Patent Institute was established, we questioned if the new authority could provide work of sufficient quality. However, we gradually found out that Nordic Patent Institute performs searches that are at least as thorough as the larger PCT searching authorities.
When filing a PCT application we are very concerned about having a second opinion which adds value to the search and examination that has been done in the priority founding application. The fact that we can choose a different examiner and a different office for the PCT application, ensures that we get a completely independent search and examination.
