Our Quality Management System
Nordic Patent Institute, along with the patent offices of the contracting states, has implemented a robust Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards, which is ISO certified for all search and examination. The system comprises three integral components:
- Quality Standards: We uphold rigorous quality standards for all search and examination work, encompassing both PCT assignments and our commercial search services.
- Comprehensive Management System: Our quality management system encompasses a wide array of procedures, tools, manuals, training programs, competencies, and communication protocols. Additionally, it includes procedures for measuring quality and ensures continuous improvement.
- Review Mechanism: We have established a diligent review mechanism to monitor compliance with our set quality standards. This mechanism enables us to identify areas for enhancement and ensures that our services consistently meet the highest benchmarks.
Benchmarking Against Other Authorities
At Nordic Patent Institute, we recognize the value of benchmarking our performance against other authoritative bodies in the field. Annually, we conduct detailed benchmarking exercise with the European Patent Office. These exercises allow us to evaluate our performance, identify best practices, and continually enhance the quality of our services to better serve our customers.
